Hi this is Dancer.

I love to dance around the kitchen cook up something special
for my friends. I know you want to order up a clue to help my
main man Santa. I’ll cook up a clue for you. Its a secret though
so you will have to use a dash of creativity and a pinch of time
to find it.

This recipe makes us fly and might get you to a clue. Sometimes
we stop over at this restaurant in Virginia called the North Pole
for a snack on our flight. Oh and there is always something special
cooking for the holidays at Nied’s Hotel. Your clue is cooking
in there somewhere.

Oh and special gift just for you - my recipe for sugar cookies.
Ask an adult to help you make them.

Dancer’s Sugar Cookies

What You Need
1 egg
1/2 cup shortening, melted
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder

What you do
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Break the egg into a large mixing bowl. Add the shortening,
sugar, cinnamon, milk and lemon juice. Beat with an egg beater
until creamy.
3. Sift the flour and baking powder together into another bowl.
Add this to the mixture in the first bowl and mix well with a spoon.
4. Drop the dough by the teaspoonful onto a cookie sheet (you
don’t have to grease them). Leave at least 1 inch of space between
the cookies.
5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown.
Immediately remove the cookies from the cookie sheets with a
spatula. Place them on wire racks to cool.
6. Don’t forget to save one for Santa. He loves them.
